Safeguarding and Protecting your children

We take the safety of your child very seriously. Our coaches have attended various training sessions to ensure they are up-to-date with safeguarding guidelines.

We have all attained level 1 (regional level coach) British Aikido Board coaching courses, and four of us have also attained our level 2 (national level coach).

We have attended the Sport Coach UK "Safeguarding and Protecting children" course, which has explained to us our legal responsibilities, as well as good practice, and what to do in case of an incident.

We are a member of the British Aikido Board, the umbrella organisation governing aikido in the UK. They do take our junior members' safety very seriously and have also set up a website to help all UK clubs ensure their youngest members safety:
